Police Seeking 13-Year-Old Runaway Kainoha Nowell

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Kainoha Nowell, who was reported as a runaway. Due to his age, he is considered endangered.

He was last seen in the area of Maka‘ala Street, in Hilo on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 3:45 p.m., wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and white shoes.

Nowell is described as Micronesian with a medium build and medium brown complexion, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 130 pounds, black shoulder length hair, and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on Nowell’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
