General

A TRO pertains to two people who are related or are in a romantic relationship. An injunction against harassment is for people who are not related or in a romantic relationship, i.e. neighbors, coworkers, landlord-tenant. Learn more on our domestic violence services page.

If you see a motorist violating one or more traffic laws, we encourage you to report it to our Traffic Services Section.

Requests for body worn camera footage must be submitted in writing for review and approval by the Chief’s office. Please submit your request to hcpdone@hawaiicounty.gov

Call your nearest police station to verify. A Hawaiʻi Police Department officer will never ask for payment for a warrant. If you have been the victim of a scam, please file a police report.

If a loose dog is a public safety threat, please call the police dispatch non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 and ask them to contact Animal Control. The Hawaiʻi County Animal Control and Protection Agency also provides a detailed three-step process on resolving noisy dog issues on their website.
