Police Seeking Missing Elderly Puna Woman Annette Hughes

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 83-year-old Annette Hughes of Fern Forest, who was reported as a missing person. She is considered endangered due to her age and because she may be in need of medical assistance.
Hughes was last seen leaving her residence on Ohialani Road in the Fern Forest subdivision in Volcano at 6:45 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2025.
She has a light complexion, is 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.
Police ask anyone with information on Hughes’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
