Public Invited to Coffee With a Cop Events in Kona, Waikoloa, and Hawi During February

As part of their ongoing community outreach to listen to community members, Hawai‘i Police Department is holding six Coffee With a Cop events in west Hawai‘i from Hāwī to Kona during February so the public can get to know their district police officers.

These popular events are intentionally informal with no agenda. Topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

Stop by and get to know your district and Community Policing Officers over a cup of coffee!

The Area II Community Policing Coffee with a Cop events will take place on the following dates:

• Tuesday, February 11, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Kohala Coffee Mill of Hawi, 53-3412 Akoni Pule Highway.

• Wednesday, February 12,from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Kona Heaven Coffee, in the Coconut Grove Shopping Center, 75-5805 Ali‘i Drive, Kailua-Kona.

• Friday, February 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co, 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive, Kailua-Kona.

• Wednesday, February 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Uncle Kimo’s Coffee Shop, next to the Holualoa Garden & Kitchen Restaurant, 76-5897 Kona Belt Road, Hōlualoa.

• Friday, February 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Kona Coffee & Tea, in the Kona Coast Shopping Center, 74-5588 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona.

• Thursday, February 27, from 8 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Island Gourmet Market in Queens Marketplace, 69-0201 Waikoloa Beach Drive, Waikoloa.
