Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Carmella French, who was reported as a runaway. French is classified as an endangered runaway due to a medical condition.

French was last seen in the 75-5600 block of Ali‘i Drive in Kailua-Kona at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, wearing a black Calvin Klein shirt, green shorts, and white shoes.

She is described as a local female, 5 feet 4 inches, 230 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.

Police ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or Ka‘ū Patrol Officer Melissa D’angelo at (808) 939-2520.
