Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Carmella French, who was reported as a runaway.  Due to being in need of medication, French is considered endangered.  

French was last seen on the 1700 block of Kinoole Street in Hilo on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 16, 2024. 

She was last wearing a black and pink jersey top, black shorts, black crocs, with a pink and black backpack.   

French is 5-feet 1-inch tall, about 180 pounds, with brown eyes and long wavy brown hair. 

Police ask anyone with information about French’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
