Media Release

Hawaiʻi Island police, in collaboration with the Belmont Police Department in California, is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 44-year-old Chritoph Litschke of Belmont, California. He was last seen in Belmont, California, on June 19, 2023, and maybe on Hawai‘i Island. Litschke suffers from a medical condition that requires treatment.

Litschke is described as having a light complexion, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and blues eyes. He may also have a beard and mustache.

Police are asking that anyone with information on Litschke’s whereabouts to please call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311; or Detective Donovan Kohara at (808) 960-3118; or via email at donovan.kohara@hawaiicounty.gov.    

Citizens who wish to remain anonymous can make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300 and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers does not record any calls or subscribe to caller ID.
