Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Alfred Andon, who was reported as a runaway in Hilo, on December 9, 2023.

Later that same day Andon was located in good health. However, shortly after being placed in a youth residential facility on December 9, he ran away again.   

Andon is described as having a light brown complexion and thin build, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Hilo, Puna, and Kona areas.

Police ask anyone with information about Andon’s whereabouts to call the Hawai’i Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Officer Corey Kaneko at (808) 961-8843 or email: corey.kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov.
