Police Searching for Missing 10-Year-Old in Volcano

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing child in Volcano, 10-year-old Oliver Crook. Due to his age, he is considered endangered.

He was last seen on Alaohia Street off of Highway 11 near the 25-mile marker in Volcano on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., however not reported to police as missing until around 7:45 p.m.  Multiple police officers and the police department’s missing person K9 are in the area searching for the boy through the overnight hours.

Crook is described having a fair complexion, 4 feet 10 inches tall, 65 pounds, with reddish brown hair.

Police ask anyone with information on the whereabouts of Oliver Crook to please call the police department’s non-emergency number (808) 935-3311 or 911 immediately.
